My son and I finally caved into the slime craze going on right now & we had a lot of fun making fluffy slime with a few simple ingredients. Start to finish, it only takes about 10 minutes and lasts a long time.
I've found it's a very relaxing sensory experience as a mommy, too!
FLUFFY SLIME:
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 bottle school glue
- 4 cups shaving foam
- food coloring
- 1 tbsp contact/saline solution (I used whatever was cheapest/most cost effective)
- vegetable oil or cooking spray (baby oil or any type of other oil would probably work also)
Also need: 1 large bowl, 1 large spoon
STEPS:
- Empty entire contents of (1) bottle school glue into a large bowl.
- Stir in a few drops of food coloring of your choice.
- Add 3 or 4 cups of shaving foam and stir.
- Add 1 tbsp saline solution and start stirring.
- Stir continuously until the ingredients are well-combined and it starts to thicken into a firmer texture.
- Coat hands with oil and knead slime until it reaches desired consistency and is not as sticky.
- Let stand 3-5 minutes to firm up a bit more. If still sticky, use more oil.
- Store in an airtight container or zip top baggie when not in use. May become a little wet during storage.
