You've seen the trunk or treats. You've seen the fall festivals. But have you seen the SKELETON HUNT happening in Mount Carmel?!
Thanks to LOCAL Mount Carmel, a new community-boosting organization in town, you can get out and explore the local businesses in town while also celebrating spooky season! Keep reading to learn more...
Who: Everyone is welcome to participate! Whether you're a resident of Mount Carmel or taking a drive over to enjoy the town for a day, you can take part in this Halloween hunt.
What: Here's the rundown direct from the source- "A whole crew of decorated skeletons will be hiding at different locations all around town, and your job is to track them down. They could be standing in a business window. They could be hiding inside a shop. They might be hanging around one of our fire companies. Who knows…there might even be one waiting near the Silver Bowl."
When: The skeleton escapees will be out and about October 25th - October 31st, 2026. Participants are expected to respect public business hours of participating organizations while hunting.
Where: Hm... I guess you'll have to wait and see! LOCAL Mount Carmel will start dropping hints leading up to Halloween week and will drop an official map online once the event begins.
How: Grab the map from Facebook and start hunting! When you find a skeleton, write down its name, location, and snap a photo. Then turn in your completed hunt at LOCAL Mount Carmel (located at 206 South Oak Street) to be entered to win a family Halloween basket.
